COVID-19 Update - Update on KINNECT Operations
Over the last week there has been continued outbreaks of COVID-19 in a number of regions throughout Australia. As such, we would like to provide you with an overview of the requirements and impact to KINNECT Services in each of these identified locations.
Greater Sydney (including Sydney, the Central Coast, Shellharbour, Blue Mountains and Wollongong)
KINNECT will continue to provide our essential services to customers in Sydney during this lockdown, however we will be adopting additional risk management processes. These include:
- Only essential workers will be able to attend a KINNECT Clinic.
- Any essential worker or candidate attending a KINNECT Clinic will be required to be without symptoms or fever, and present a negative COVID-19 test result from the previous 48 hours. Failure to complete this requirement may lead to the worker or candidate being turned away at their appointment and fees incurred.
- All candidates, workers and KINNECT staff to adhere to Government directions surrounding the use of face masks and social distancing
- Unable to perform spirometry testing, respirator fit testing, breath alcohol testing or saliva drug testing (to be deferred until no community transmission occurring)
- Preference for telehealth based services, where practically possible
South East Queensland & Townsville
KINNECT will continue to provide our essential services to customers in South East Queensland & Townsville during this lockdown, however we will be adopting additional risk management processes. These include:
- Unable to perform spirometry testing, respirator fit testing, breath alcohol testing or saliva drug testing (to be deferred until no community transmission occurring)
- All candidates, workers and KINNECT staff to adhere to Government directions surrounding the use of face masks and social distancing
- Preference for telehealth based services, where practically possible
Perth
KINNECT will continue to provide our essential services to customers in Perth during this lockdown, however we will be adopting additional risk management processes. These include:
- Unable to perform spirometry testing, respirator fit testing, breath alcohol testing or saliva drug testing (to be deferred until no community transmission occurring)
- All candidates, workers and KINNECT staff to adhere to Government directions surrounding the use of face masks and social distancing
- Preference for telehealth based services, where practically possible
