KINNECT Awarded 3 Year Onsite Physiotherapy Services Contract with Peabody Energy Australia
KINNECT are excited to announce that we have been successful in tendering for Peabody Energy’s Onsite Physiotherapy Contract to be delivered across separate sites within the Bowen Basin region for the next three years. Peabody is the leading global pure-play coal company and a member of the Fortune 500, serving power and steel customers in more than 25 countries on six continents.
‘In our opinion, we have been successful due to the significant alignment in core values as companies, especially those of people, excellence and sustainability. We are privileged to further strengthen our working relatonship with Peabody Energy, having been their preferred pre-employmenrt provider for several years’ stated Kevin Conlon, CEO & Managing Director of KINNECT.
With Onsite Physiotherapy services set to be delivered at Peabody Energy’s Moorvale, Coppabella, North Goonyella, Burton and Melennium sites, KINNECT’s physiotherapists will have the ability to positively impact the lives of a significant number of people, aiding KINNECT’s quest to achieve their ‘why’ being that of helping people.
‘We have always found motivation in the reason we exist, with that being to help people, doing so by making people healthy, safe and productive while at work. We view the contract with Peabody as a significant part of this journey’, Kevin Conlon explains.
Peabody Energy operations in the Queensland Region span the length of the Bowen Basin and positions them as the fifth largest producer of coal in Australia.
KINNECT’s Physiotherapists are set to mobilise to Peabody operatons late August and begin their delivery of physiotherapy and other injury prevention, management and health services.
‘As a company we are uniquely positioned with our physiotherapists being able to provide more than just hands on physiotherapy. Our Physiotherapists hold extensive experience in injury management, as well as manaual handling training , risk and ergonomic assessments, not to mention the delivery of health and wellbeing programs such as fatigue management and health checks’, reported Clark Hopley, KINNECT’s Account Manager for Peabody Energy.
It is for this reason that KINNECT are confident that they will achieve a significant return on investment for Peabody Energy, through the reduction of direct and indirect costs associated with injury and illness.
