KINNECT Awarded Contract for Occupational Health Services by WestConnex
KINNECT recently announced that the company has been awarded a new contract by WestConnex for the provision of Pre-Employment Medical Services and Health Surveillance Services.
WestConnex is part of an integrated transport plan to keep Sydney moving – easing congestion, creating jobs and connecting communities. The new motorway will provide crucial support for Sydney’s long-term economic and population growth.
WestConnex will:
- Widen the M4 between Parramatta and Homebush and extend it in underground tunnels between Homebush and Haberfield
- Double road capacity along the M5 East corridor with the New M5 underground tunnels running between St Peters and Kingsgrove
- Join these underground routes together via the M4–M5 Link tunnel to form a seamless motorway without traffic lights
- Provide a western bypass of the Sydney central business district (CBD)
- Provide connections to the Western Harbour Tunnel and BeachesLink
- Provide a connection to Sydney Airport and Port Botany via Sydney Gateway.
As part of the awarded contract, KINNECT will deliver all Pre-Employment Medical Services as part of the recruitment process and ongoing health surveillance of workers to ensure their ongoing health and wellbeing.
“KINNECT are very proud to be awarded this contract by WestConnex. Our experience providing Occupational Health services, such as Pre-Employment Medical and Health Surveillance Services, within the tunnelling industry coupled with our industry leading service delivery, is what set us apart in the tendering process.” says, Kevin Conlon – CEO.
“With the recent opening of our new Mascot Clinic, we are very excited to be able to partner with this significant project to help make their workers healthy, safe and productive.”
