KINNECT Awarded Contract for Onsite Manual Handling Training by Seqwater
KINNECT today announced it has been successful in tendering for the provision of Onsite Manual Handling Training for Seqwater.
Seqwater delivers a safe, secure and reliable water supply to South East Queensland, as well as providing essential flood mitigation services and managing catchment health.
The scope of work with Seqwater will see KINNECT develop and deliver Job specific PErforM (Participative Ergonomics for Manual Tasks) Vehicle Ergonomics training to approximately 700 workers.
“Being engaged by Seqwater to deliver such a large scale program is recognition of our reputation as a leading Occupational Health Provider that has the experience in the delivery of large injury prevention projects.” said Kevin Conlon, Managing Director and CEO of KINNECT.
The program will consist of three distinct stages including the identification of high risk tasks, the development of tailored job specific programs and finally the onsite delivery of the Manual Handling Training and Assessments. KINNECT expects the project to take approximately 5 months to complete with the project expected to commence in the coming weeks.
“Identifying and mitigating risk associated with manual tasks is just one of our area of expertise. We enjoy partnering with companies that equally appreciate injury prevention initiatives.”
KINNECT now look forward to the implementation of this project and the opportunity to again partner with a company to ensure their employees remain healthy, safe and productive.
