KINNECT invests in next generation of leaders with new talent program
More than a dozen rising stars from KINNECT have been chosen to take part in a new program to develop their leadership skills.
The Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is for KINNECTers who want to develop themselves personally and professionally, shaping their leadership skills to support their future career progression.
With lectures, workshops, special guest presenters, assigned reading, and group study, the ELP course covers a range of topics in depth over 12 months. This includes workplace culture, leadership, people recruitment, finance, operations, time management, discipline and execution, business goal setting, and technology.
Over 26 staff applied for a place on the course which was limited to just 13 places. The people taking part in the course represent many different parts of the business; from support services and administration to allied health professionals.
CEO & Managing Director, Kevin Conlon, said he was overwhelmed by the quality of the applicants for the 2020 intake.
“We’ve designed the Emerging Leaders Program to help KINNECT to grow the leaders of tomorrow from within the business today. The class of 2020 includes many of our best and brightest people. I’m really looking forward to working with them all to develop both their leadership and business skills.”
Unsurprisingly, the course has been incredibly popular with KINNECTers and due to high demand, the team is already planning for another course to commence in April 2021.
KINNECT has a track record of promoting from within, with the majority of current Leadership Roles performed by staff who began their career with KINNECT.
