KINNECT pays tribute to 2021 leadership graduates
The national occupational health company, KINNECT, has paid tribute to 10 graduates from our 2021 internal talent development program.
The Emerging Leaders Program provides a pathway for KINNECT employees to gain leadership skills, and develop themselves personally and professionally to support their future career progression. It creates an environment where people feel safe taking risks and pushing themselves outside of their comfort zone while learning broader business acumen that will equip them for the future.
Participants are mentored by senior executives who act as advocates, coaches and problem solvers during the one-year program.
The successful graduates represented all different departments and locations across Australia and were chosen after a rigorous selection process.
The 2021 Emerging Leadership Graduates were:
- Adam Falconer, Consultant, Sunshine Coast
- Ashlie Rainbow, Team Leader, Gold Coast
- Brendon Carter, Consultant, Melbourne
- Dominic Mansell, Team Leader, Brisbane
- Grace Thompson, Team Leader, Support Services
- Jake Dornan, Team Leader, Sunshine Coast
- Melinda Narayan, Team Leader, Melbourne
- Melena Musumeci, Team Leader, Cairns
- Mitch Calder, Team Leader, Mascot
- Ricarda Atherton, Team Leader, Support Services
The program was founded in 2020 by Chief Executive and MD, Kevin Conlon, to help develop the next generation of leaders at KINNECT. “These are some of our most promising leaders,” says Kevin Conlon. “We’re proud to be investing in their future success.”
Kevin continued on to say how he believes that it is essential for the business to invest in people as KINNECT continues to grow so that we can help more people.
“We’ve designed the Emerging Leaders Program to help KINNECT to grow the leaders of tomorrow from within the business today. The class of 2021 includes many of our best and brightest people. They’ve all worked enormously hard and we know they’ll go far.”
With lectures, workshops, special guest presenters, assigned reading, and group study, the ELP course covers a range of topics in depth over 12 months. This includes workplace culture, leadership, people recruitment, finance, operations, time management, discipline and execution, business goal setting, and technology.
KINNECT has a track record of promoting from within, with the majority of current leadership roles performed by staff who began their career with KINNECT.
