KINNECT strengthens medical team with appointment of new doctor
KINNECT is delighted to welcome a new addition to our highly skilled Medical Team as Dr Norman Dawes, GP, joins the business from 1 July.
Dr Dawes will become KINNECT’s first in-clinic doctor and will be based in our Woolloongabba clinic.
With extensive experience in the field of occupational medicine, Dr Dawes can perform coal mine medicals, pre-employment medicals, driving medicals, work cover cases, return to work and injury management. Dr Dawes is an Appointed Medical Advisor (AMA) with the Resources Safety & Health QLD. He is also registered to perform NSW Coal Medicals and Qld Mineral Mines and Quarries Respiratory Health Surveillance assessments.
On joining KINNECT, Dr Dawes, said:
“Having worked in occupational health for many years, I’m very familiar with KINNECT. I’ve known Kevin Conlon and the team for a very long time and have much respect and admiration for KINNECT’s approach. Being privately owned and retaining that fierce independence really sets KINNECT apart from their competitors and allows a firm focus on quality and on helping people, which is really the most important thing.
“While being an in-clinic doctor isn’t something new to me, I am confident that it will prove a real advantage for KINNECT and their clients, enabling faster sign-offs for those who need things done rapidly. I am really looking forward to joining the team and can’t wait to get started.”
