New KINNECT Rockingham office a testament to growth in WA
On 7 August, KINNECT opened a new office in Rockingham, south of Perth, to meet the needs of our growing client base in WA.
KINNECT established a presence in WA more than a decade ago, offering Pre-Employment Medicals for clients with a national footprint via a partnership arrangement. The Perth office opened in 2013 and has allowed KINNECT to grow the business exponentially for Pre-employment Medicals, Health Surveillance services and Workplace Rehabilitation services.
Rockingham was a clear choice for expansion given its importance as a hub for Western Australian industry, particularly construction, mining and local government. KINNECT’s CEO, Kevin Conlon said: “Strategically, we’ve always planned to grow our presence in WA. The recent acquisition of a Tier 1 WA Miner confirmed our decision to open in Rockingham and meet our larger client’s needs for services south of the river.”
The new office’s location benefits employers and their workers equally. KINNECT can now assist injured workers with workplace rehabilitation closer to their workplace, reducing travel costs and logistical difficulties that can be a barrier for some workers. From an employer’s perspective, we can now conduct Pre-Employment and Health Surveillance Medical Assessments for a larger number of their candidate pool who are in Rockingham and surrounding areas such as Baldivas, Port Kennedy and Mandurah. The Rockingham office not only increases KINNECT’s capacity for assessments, by being closer to candidates southwest of Perth’s city centre we can further reduce client mobilisation timeframes, allowing our valued partners to meet their operational needs.
KINNECT’s employees living locally to the Rockingham area are also excited about reduced travel times and greater working flexibility.
“It’s great that our employees local to Perth’s outer southern suburbs now have an office nearby. We hope that we can attract more local talent to further enhance our already great workplace culture,” stated KINNECT’s COO, Dave Hughes.
A twin of the Perth KINNECT office, the new space at Hudson House in Rockingham is equipped to offer a full complement of Occupational Health services to care for our clients throughout the workforce’s employment lifecycle from hire to retire. Clients will have access to workplace rehabilitation, pre-employment medical, health monitoring, injury prevention and psychology services delivered by local people with local knowledge and industry relationships.
Our growth in WA, and the opening of the KINNECT Rockingham office, has been bolstered by a recently formed strategic partnership with indigenous Occupational Health provider Spartan Health. The partnership will allow KINNECT to expand our delivery of Pre-Employment Medicals and Health Surveillance into regional and remote areas in WA such as Karratha, Bunbury and Kalgoorlie.
“We’re very proud of our relationship with Spartan Health – there’s great synergy between the two businesses and it opens up opportunities for us to provide care to workers who we couldn’t previously access. This partnership, combined with our strong Affiliate network and new office in Rockingham truly cements our position as a leading player in WA’s Occupational Health sector,” Kevin Conlon said.
WA clients can book appointments at the Rockingham office online through their Carelever account.
