WorkSafe VIC gives KINNECT’s rehabilitation service the seal of approval with latest provider rating
KINNECT is proud today having learned that our Melbourne Workplace Rehab Team earned the highest provider rating from WorkSafe Victoria.
The three–star rating puts KINNECT in the top 3 of 23 providers in the state for our sustainable workplace rehabilitation outcomes during the last quarter.
The rating is for Original Employer Services, the support provided to injured workers who return to work with their existing employer.
James Buckley, General Manager of Victoria, said:
“During the last few months, we’ve been working with injured workers while dealing with Stage 4 Covid-19 restrictions in Melbourne. To the team’s credit, the quality of their work has been excellent throughout this challenging period, with impressive feedback consistently from customers and clients and some amazing outcomes achieved.
“I want to extend my congratulations to the entire team for their enormous efforts over recent months.
“While achieving a great outcome for every worker that we help makes us extremely happy, the three-star rating from WorkSafe Victoria really is the icing on the cake for the team.”
KINNECT adopts a person-centred and collaborative approach to dealing with recovery at work using only evidence-based and tailored interventions.
One of the workers that the Melbourne team helped recently is Bella*.
Bella was referred to KINNECT after she fractured her wrist. Originally trained as a dental hygienist abroad, she had more recently been doing factory work in Melbourne. Aoife McAuliffe, one of KINNECT’s rehabilitation consultants worked with Bella and realised that while her training as a dental hygienist was not recognised in Australia, she could potentially get work as a dental assistant.
She helped Bella to create two different CVs and covering letters; one capturing her factory experience, and the other to highlight her dental hygienist experience. Bella scored an interview with a dental practice and was thrilled to get the job. Three months on, she is doing well in her new role, having worked throughout the Melbourne lockdown.
Kevin Conlon, Chief Executive added: “What the KINNECT Melbourne Team have achieved during this period is truly remarkable and have well and truly cemented their A-Player status.
“Thanks to WorkSafe Victoria also who have been an excellent partner and highlighted our team for their great work.“
